Mini Cases
What are the LMA Mini-Cases?
LMA Mini-Cases are bite sized cases (2 page max), where students submit solutions, are shown the best answer and winners are awarded prizes. We will be uploading new cases through out the year.
A few reasons to submit a LMA Mini-Case
1. Great for your resume and co-curricular record
2. We are giving away great PRIZES!!!
3. They provide a valuable learning experience to help students develop their analysis, synthesis and problem solving skills through application.
4. Prepare you for University cases and our larger case competition (Laurier Marketing Case Competition) when the stakes are higher and the cases are harder.
Format:
Solutions for the LMA min-cases should be no more than two (2) pages single-spaced, 1-inch margins with 12-point Times New Roman font. Your report should follow, but is not limited to, the format provided below:
Problem: Provide a brief summary of the problem provided in the case.
Issues: What is (are) the primary issue(s) causing the problem?
Analysis: Provide analyses on relevant areas (i.e. financial, PEST, SWOT, consumer, competitor).
Alternatives: Provide and analyze potential solutions.
Recommendation: Which alternative should you choose and why does it work?
Implementation: What are the steps to implementing the recommended solution?
Contingency: What should you do if the plan does not work?
